The African American Agenda Collaborative, Inc. (3AC) is a Missouri non-profit corporation committed to improving the quality of life for people of black/African descent living in Springfield/Greene County, Missouri.
Specifically, 3AC aims to make an impact within the local community by focusing on ideas and strategies that relate to its four-part agenda. Briefly stated, that agenda is:
* Wealth Creation and Preservation
* Black Leadership Development and Board
Participation
* Parental Skill Development and Family Support
* Constructive Youth Activities
There are four "workgroups" which correspond to the four Agenda areas. Through these workgroups, discussion and planning give rise to strategies which the Board of 3AC can then work to implement.
Although 3AC is a relatively new organization (incorporated, March 2000), the challenges which it seeks to address have long been present in Springfield. By developing partnerships with individuals, other community-based organizations, businesses, and government, 3AC will effect real and positive change for African Americans, thus benefiting the community of Springfield, as a whole.
